As year-end is upon us, it is time for us to reflect on the past year – it has had its fair share of challenges, but also its high points, which in my view outweighed the negative sentiment. In a nutshell, despite the seemingly tough economic cycle, it’s been quite a year for us at Goscor Cleaning Equipment (GCE).

Let me take this time to reflect upon the good things that have taken us thus far – like our partnership with our customers. At Goscor, whenever we think of all the benefits of being in our business, we quickly think of our relationships with great customers. In this time of gratitude, we give thanks for you. We value your patronage and appreciate your confidence in us.

During the holiday season, our thoughts turn gratefully to those who have made our success possible. 2018 has been a remarkable year for us, and it is this spirit that I would like to share some of our great achievements during the year. One that quickly comes to mind is the successful purchase and amalgamation of Tennant Western Cape into our Cape Town branch. This has boosted our capabilities in the Western Cape Province.

One of the major highlights for GCE during the year was the delivery of the Guzzler to leading South African coal export terminal, Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT). Five years ago, RBCT bought its first Guzzler vacuum truck from us. Having experienced the benefits of this premium vacuum truck, they have since taken delivery of their second unit.

Some of the major talking points for us during the year included the partnership with I-Team SA to sell I-Mop, significant sales increase into the retail market, as well as the massive commercial order delivered to Global Cleaning for Tukkies University.

As we look back upon the past year, we would like to acknowledge those who have helped us shape our business. Thanks for a great year, and we wish you all the best as you embark on 2019. We hope that 2018 has been just as memorable for you. We look forward to working with you in the years to come.
