Celebrating women
At Goscor, we believe that an empowered and results-oriented organisation excels at engaging and motivating highly talented people of different backgrounds and perspectives. We have always empowered and encouraged our people to take the initiative and to do what is right. We continuously strive to embody our Family Values in creating an environment that is friendly, warm and exciting. We are more than just a team – we are a family.
As a family, we are cognisant of the truly special and important roles women play in both their home and work Families. It is not an easy task to so successfully juggle and manage two full time roles. It is for this reason that, as Goscor Cleaning Equipment (GCE), and the Goscor Group at large, we join the rest of the country in the celebration of the women within our Goscor family this Women’s Month.
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, GCE has made great strides in recent months to set in motion the improvement of a gender diverse workplace. In addition to this, I am excited to welcome our newest team member Melanie Els, who joined us as Assistant Financial Manager on 1 June 2018. We are also excited to welcome Petra Minutelli into the Goscor Group. Petra is the Branch Manager of our newly incorporated Cape Town Branch and is the first female Branch Manager in GCE.
I truly believe that it is important to have greater gender diversity in all organisations, both at board and senior levels. At GCE, we are focussed on helping and encouraging the growth of women into key positions as well as eliminating discrimination against women in the workplace.
In conclusion, I would like to encourage you all to take a longer, deeper look at the incredible women, both in our work and home families. Admire, honour and cherish them for the marvellous beings they are and join me in celebrating the social, cultural and political achievements of women in South Africa.
